Closed Eyes Are Dancing is a collaboration between film and music…

The film is a collection of computer generated abstract art. Around 500 frames slowly but brutally collide against one another. Its a dark giggle at today’s cinematic effects. With computer generated imagery in most blockbuster films now, the same amount of frames in the film I’ve made is equivalent to maybe 10 seconds of some of the most advanced CGI animation. It is this I wanted to explore.

The music was created frame by frame to build on the atmosphere of the pictures. The space on the screen that the art chooses to be void is where the soundwaves come from. The colours and the shapes do suggest the tones but altering the soundtrack live will make the performance unique. The atmosphere of the night transcending into the visual and audible.
