Blank Media are looking to build upon our dedicated team of volunteers to enhance and support the growing reputation of the organisation.

Blank Media promotes the creativity and artistic practices of emerging artists around the UK and internationally. We aim to give the opportunity to creative people who may not usually get the chance to show work and enable these people to have a future within the arts. We enjoy creating innovative events, which challenge the audience’s perceptions of the arts and creativity.

We support artists and creative individuals throughout the UK and internationally through our artists’ database on http://www.blankmediacollective.org, creating innovative exhibitions and events and our monthly e-zine, blankpages.

Projects that the volunteers may assist within:

  * Organisation and implementation of exhibitions and events
  * Research visits to exhibitions and events around the country
  * Funding applications
  * Website maintenance
  * Publishing and design
  * PR

We are looking for committed creative people based around the Manchester area that would like to use and advance their current skills and knowledge of the arts to assist in the development of Blank Media. The volunteer placements will help you gain valuable experience and an edge within the competitive arts industry.

The placements will be for a minimum of 6 weeks and you should be able to commit to at least 8 hours per week, which can be flexible. Interns who consistently demonstrate professionalism, dedication and commitment will also be given the opportunity to stay with us on a long-term basis.
