Embracing fear by Emma Jane Baker
Caught in a dark place.
Trapped and suffocating.
This woman with no face!
You can see her souls deflating.
Happiness miss spent, she remminicises.
Places she frequents, but never misses!
ALL THIS AND WHAT FOR?! She sceams and shouts.
Can’t take no more, she can’t break out!
A pin prick of light appears.
In her heart and soul.
She starts to embrace fear.
Sense of control.
A new day, a new dawn. She say’s to herself.
A chance to be reborn, get off this shelf.
To long has she sat here, lost and scared.
It’s time to embrace fear, she is prepared.

Note to self – she takes a deep breath, closes her eyes and a light bursts through her soul. It illuminates every fibre of her being. Arms stretched out ready to fall into a life not yet lived!!!.
