Biography / Personal Statement

I mostly work with collage and fabric to create mixed-media artworks and installation pieces. I explore ideas of "anti-sentimentality" by creating playful and satirical collages on various materials. The collage components often contradict suggestions of tactility and tease the fabric on which they sit, by form of mimicry and irony within the visual content.

The works engage with ideas of temptation and voyeurism on varying levels. I am continuing to explore how collage can be used to create uncanny visuals that resonate with how we experience the world physically and emotionally.
