[Recommends] Portfolio Development Programme

Friday 30th Jul 2010

- Ever thought a career in the arts would suit you?
- Thinking that you would like to study art, but don’t know where to start?
- Looking at starting up as a freelance artist, and want to get your work organised?

If any of these apply to you, and you are thinking about getting an Artist’s Portfolio together then this could be the opportunity for you.

Staffordshire University in partnership with AirSpace Gallery and The New Generation Space have put together a fantastic Portfolio Development Programme. You will work with University Fine Art Lecturers, and practising artists on practical sessions which will equip you with the skills and knowledge to build a portfolio which will help when attending interviews (for courses or professional situations) or when pitching to clients and galleries. This programme is free, but you will need to provide your own materials and lunch!

The Programme:
Day One: What is a Portfolio? (11am-4pm)
Day Two: Building A Portfolio (11am-4pm)
Day Three: Individual Portfolio Review (Sign-up for 30 minute slot.)

The first Programme runs Friday, August 20th, Saturday August 21st and the sign-up sessions are Saturday, September 18th.

The programme will be running in August, and then again in November, and then a final time in March.
