Neck of the Woods is an innovative and exciting group exhibition curated by Blank Media Collective investigating artists’ responses into the concept of community and how this is evolving. Artists and practitioners join from throughout the UK and Internationally to challenge the audience’s preconceptions of community and how this can be explored within their own personal artistic practice.

Seeing and Being Seen is a collection of new photographic works by Adam Booth and collaborators Lee Deaville & Richard Turner curated by Blank Media Collective.
ART BY CHANCE is the brand new “Ultra Short Film Festival” that will be aired in May 2010 all around the world. Films will meet with us unexpected, non-theatrical venues around the world on digital advertising screens located inside metros, busses, railways, public transport.
Blank Media Collective is seeking proposals for an innovative and exciting exhibition in conjunction with Nexus Art Café, Manchester. Neck of the Woods will be a platform to investigate artists’ responses into the concept of community and how this is evolving. We are looking for emerging practitioners from throughout the UK and internationally to submit proposals exploring this through your own creative practices.

Blank Media Collective are delighted to invite you to a special Film Screening Fundraiser for Oxfam’s Climate Change campaign, HERE AND NOW. The evening will showcase an array of specially selected new short films, a film quiz and DJ set from Blank Media Collective resident DJs, as well as yummy popcorn and cupcakes.

Although this event is free, Oxjam are suggesting a £3 donation. All proceeds will go towards the Manchester Oxjam Takeover.

Steve O’Connor performs his featured short fiction piece from issue 12, and Sara Li-Chou Han will be showing garments from her new eco-fashion ‘Trashed Couture’ brand. All this, lovingly glued together by your compere for the evening, blankpages’ Fiction Editor, John Leyland… oh and of course… free cake!
