Resume
Biography / Personal Statement
These dilapidated skeletal remains suggest a sense of history and a narrative behind their appearances of corrosion and wear.
I often work with techniques of printmaking and drawing that build up and scrape back through layers. This method of working mimics the decaying life of the objects I depict in my work, slowly removing areas to reveal the bare structure beneath. I try to allow the surfaces I choose to work on inform the feel of the image, weathering paper, wood, metal to emphasise the industrial qualities.
