The images record and detail my present absence from this property and are a record of being. The Garden Manifesto ends on July 29 2008 the day I left the property. It is a recording of a determinate space (garden) being recorded indeterminately. The use of texts eludes to a portrait outside of the image, a text an alternative point and existence.

This work defined my notion of 'impulse' photography. In April 2004 I began to image a series of walks, which record the distance from my home on foot to the place where I work (one way- to work). It is a journey of approximately 20 minutes and I documented 32 such journeys of approximately 80-100 images each. This translates into approximately 4-5 images taken, per minute travelled. In this project I am interested in conveying this movement and the visual dynamic of my Walk to Work created by spontaneous shutter clicks

My project and dissertation Invisible Boundaries are a practical thesis, which focuses on the recording of the everyday in a practical photographic project, illustrated through images of my home and their analysis. The project Invisible Boundaries consists of 1200 images, which were taken between 1999 and 2002 and is supported by a written thesis based upon this evidence and other documentary images
